Transfer Student Success Conference

Conference Purpose

The ACHIEVE Transfer Student Success Conference strives to ensure student success and increase college completion rates across the State of Alabama by fostering collaboration between 2- and 4-year colleges and universities and identifying new opportunities to promote the seamless transfer of 2-year college students to 4-year colleges and universities. Conference Goals

Re-evaluate and renew commitments for transfer and student success
Identify new opportunities for transfer and student success
Increase college completion rates across Alabama
Foster collaboration across 2- and 4-year colleges and universities to help more 2-year students complete associate’s degrees, transfer, and earn bachelor’s degrees
Implement opportunities for dialogue about transfer and student success
Engage representatives of Academic Committees to reconnect, review, and revise articulation agreements
Discuss resources available to 2- and 4-year colleges and universities
Promote training for faculty and staff involved in 2-and 4-year student transfer
Share research about the latest student transfer trend data
Conduct outreach to generate support for implementation of successful transfer strategies across 2- and 4-year colleges and universities

We are searching for keynote speakers...

The conference planning committee is excited to feature dynamic, high-caliber speakers for this year's virtual conference. Please use the Keynote Speaker Suggestion Form to recommend speakers you'd like us to contact. We aim to engage attendees with three distinct keynote speakers each morning at 10:00 AM during the conference. Speaker suggestions will be accepted until mid-November 2025. Final keynote speaker selections will be announced by January 1, 2026.

We want your feedback...

The conference planning committee is eager to design discussion panels that captivate all attendees. Please use the Discussion Panel Suggestion Form to recommend panel types and topics you'd like to see explored. We plan to host three unique discussion panels daily at 1:00 PM during the conference. Feedback and suggestions will be accepted until mid-November 2025. Final panel selections and topics will be announced by January 1, 2026.

What are some of the "Hot Topics" that impact transfer student success each year? What can we learn from experts in the field about these topics?

To suggest a "Hot Topic" presentation for the Conference Planning Committee's review, please fill out the Suggest a "Hot Topic" Presentation Form. Submissions are open until mid-November 2025. Following the submission period, the committee will select the top three topics for the daily 3:00 PM sessions, and experts will be invited to present and address questions. The chosen "Hot Topics" and their presenters will be announced by January 1, 2026.
